3rd Annual 4th of July Party

Here's a summary of our 3rd annual 4th celebration... it was a great group of friends and family (though we did miss our IL family representation!)

The pool was a hit from the very beginning and throughout the day...

We had a few sprinklings of rain throughout the day which made for quite a tolerable afternoon and evening. The girls hung in there until RIGHT before the fireworks (9pm-ish) but were all asleep by 9:30. We got to have a campfire and watch the fireworks from our backyard ... totally the way to go as far as we're concerned. Sadly, we were all too stuffed for smores - tragic, I know. Fun day with plenty of food and great company. (Mallory even slept a little later than normal this morning and took a four hour nap today ... no complaints here!)
