March Easter Egg Hunt

Toward the end of March we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at a friend's church. The kids were in groups by age, so Casey walked ran around with Mallory and I followed Abby around while she figured out what this Easter egg thing was really about.

Aubrey and Mallory checking out their haul.

What candy? :)

Here are two extra pictures I found at the end of March. :)

I asked Mallory to go get some jammies
and she came back from her room in this fancy outfit.

March 2012

Here is March in a nut shell:

And after going through pictures it appears to be 'the month of Abby'. Mallory sometimes avoids the camera. But also, I think Abby does lots of silly things.

Abby feels like a big girl whenever she uses a stool...
...and for reasons unbeknownst to us she is obsessed with tissues.
They were her vehicle for cleaning this day. :)

A girl who wanted nothing to do with a pacifier as a baby -
obsessed with pretend pacifiers. :)

Every time the girls are in the bath tub, Abby will lay flat on her back even if the water comes up almost over her face. Mallory was never comfortable with this at Abby's age and still won't do this today. Cracks us up!

Very little snow in March,
but Mallory was so excited she could taste it. ;)

Casey traveled a lot at the beginning of March -
Momma was a little busy and overwhelmed. :)

I was helping Mallory make paper bag puppet...
when I turned back to Abby, the stinker had drawn all over her face!

And she knew how silly she looked!

Mallory's version of the puppet in the picture. :)

The girls stayed with my brother and sister-in-law for a couple nights while Casey and I were in Ireland. On their way to see the Easter Bunny - 4 kids under 4. :)

Mallory & Ember with the Easter Bunny.
(The word is Abby and Caelum were less than excited...)

This picture makes me laugh.
Mallory looks HUGE and Abby was not a fan of being put down.

A cousin sleepover. :)

So, laundry on the line... in the same month as a snowstorm.
Weird weather this winter!

Baking banana bread -
the marshmallows were for rice krispie treats. :)

This girl is SO ready for a big girl bed.
And yes, still drinks a bottle - don't judge.
The big girl bed should be coming soon. :)

Monkey see, monkey do. :)

March also included an Easter egg hunt and a week in Ireland!
Stay tuned... we'll see when I get around to those. :)

February Snowfall

We didn't get a lot of snow this winter, but we took advantage of the little that we did get. Abby was indifferent to the weather, but she did like to shovel. :)

And she would have preferred to knock down the snowman. :)

Mallory was very excited about using buckets to build 'snow castles'.

This is hot, right?
They worked for the handful of snowfalls we got.

The puppies like to join the snow fun.
Claddagh loves to play fetch in the snow.

More snow castles.

Someone would rather make SAND castles.

Daddy distracted her with more shoveling. :)

And it wouldn't be a snow day without climbing the 'mountain'.

Brady's 9th Birthday

We went to Illinois to celebrate Braden's 9th birthday (in February) with a little bowling. There was a Lego party too, but I didn't get pictures of those festivities...

Finley trying out the bumpers.
...which are almost harder to bowl WITH than without.

Cole was an animal on the lane - great form.

Birthday buds!

If you can't beat the bumpers,
let Aunt Kari try to spice things up and throw it backwards.

This throw was a STRIKE!

Brady picked up a spare!

I don't recall if this was a strike or a spare,
but Kane gave us a good show with all of his celebrating.

Momma and Finley
(and Mallory playing on Aunt Mo's iPhone)

Goof ball!
