Park Adventures

Last week Mallory, Abigail and I went to our local park with my cousin Brandi.

We took a snack break to warm up because the water was nowhere near as warm as the air.

Mallory was "shivery" but wanted to continue playing in the water. The solution was to put on her swim suit cover-up and tie it up to keep it somewhat dry.
I was laughing at Abigail because she kept dunking her face in the water. Until I realized ... she was drinking it. Bath water is one thing, haha, park water ... eww.
We got to play in the "splash pad" too, but my camera battery died before I could get pictures ... another day!

Mallory-less Monday

Mallory is spending the week with her meme and granddad, so it's going to be a Mallory-less week around here. Day one happened to be beautiful, so Abby and I got to take the stroller out for a spin ... swings at the park and a quick stop at Walgreen's.

Man, it is QUIET around here. Today wasn't so bad, but by the end of the week I fear it might be TOO quiet.

Meeting Cadence!

After 15 months we finally got to meet our friends' daughter, Cadence ... and Jarrod and Jessie finally got to meet Mallory. Dinner and a trip to the park ... good times in Champaign.

It's always a happy day ...

... when there's time to go to the park! And it's even better when you make the decision all on your own to try the slide head first.

A Trip to the Park

Today we met my friend, Penny and her son, Alex at Regner Park. This was Mallory's first time at a park...hello swings!

I had to stuff her blanket and my jacket behind her in the swing so she wouldn't wobble forward and back when the swing moved.

Hmm, just as I thought...zippers are cold and hard. Perfect to chew on.

(Based on her current whiny, cuddly, sensitive, indifferent attitude the last couple days, in combination with the fact that she's on a baby food strike again and has been slightly feverish, I think we have more teeth on the horizon.)
