Mallory's 2-week 'checkup'

Okay, it wasn't really a checkup so much as a weight check. Mallory was 7lbs 6oz at birth, 6lbs 12oz when we left the hospital two days later and weighed in at 7lbs 5oz two days after that.

Today she weighed in at 8lbs 4oz! I was 8lbs 3oz at birth...it's amazing to me that I could have ever been that little.

Who needs a crib?

This adorable box came as a gift from Aunt Mo and Uncle Seanie and was filled with the cutest things you've ever seen. After all the fuss we made waiting for Mallory's crib, it turns out we could have just waited for this box - she looks comfortable to me!

Mallory has SO much hair they had to wash it TWICE in the hospital when she got her first bath and I washed it again a couple days after coming home ... she LOVED it!

In the early morning hours of September 11th, it became apparent that Casey was right.

Mallory's due date was September 17th, but from the very first day that we knew I was pregnant Casey predicted she would arrive on September 11th. He was the only one (besides Meme) who was convinced she'd be a girl, he would have bet money she'd have a full head of dark hair (like he did) when all along I was picturing blondish curls like mine and he said she'd be under 8lbs while I was certain she'd be over.
