Sleepy head

I gave the girls a bath and then proceeded to dress them side by side. Mallory got up and ran away leaving her baby sister asleep in her dust. All that giggling and wiggling apparently didn't bother her.
I laid her in her crib and we didn't see her until the next morning.

Play-doh

Who had more fun with the Play-doh?

Mallory?
Or me?
I can tell one thing: even with Play-doh, red, yellow and blue are capable of making orange, green and purple. I can also tell you that ... I am a dork.

The Marshmallow Test

This made me giggle. We might just have to conduct our own marshmallow test with a certain two year old...

Enjoy!

Happy Tuesday!

I know a little girl who is in love with her big sister.

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star?

Enjoy this musical interpretation of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and the Itsy, Bitsy Spider

More Fall Fun

We partially carved some pumpkins over the weekend. We saved the seeds and ending up quitting early for dinner. It was fun to let the girls dig into the pumpkin guts though.
Ember was all about it, but Mallory wanted her hand wiped off after each time she stuck her hand in.
She resorted to picking up the little pumpkin and trying to dump it into the bowl. I thought it was pretty resourceful. She's not really missing out on much skipping the pumpkin goop.
Check out this drool!
Reminds me of Mallory at this age ... December 2008.
Ember and Mallory kept reaching in the trick or treat candy bowl to see how many times we'd give in. One of them picked up a "Warhead" sour/sweet nasty candy and we couldn't resist seeing their reaction. Ember went first ... she made quite the face and immediately spit it out.
Mallory took it a step further and was actually wiping her tongue with the back of her hand. Yes, we are horrible parents.
Truth be told, it didn't stop them from asking for more candy.
